Dan son of Jacob is born to Bilhah, Rachel's servant, and Rachel names him with language of God judging Genesis 30:5-6.
Jacob's final words describe Dan as judging his people and also use the warning image of a serpent in the path Genesis 49:16-18.
Dan is not in the line to Jesus.
