Among the early foreign rulers, Nimrod is shown as a ruler because Genesis calls him a mighty one and says the beginning of his kingdom included Babel, Erech, Accad, and Calneh in Shinar Genesis 10:8-12.
Nimrod is not in the line to Jesus.
