Philip the apostle is distinct from Philip the evangelist, and John tells of Jesus calling him to follow John 1:43-44 Acts 6:5.
He brings Nathanael to Jesus, appears in the apostolic lists, and asks Jesus to show the Father John 1:45-49 Matthew 10:3 John 14:8-9.
Philip is not in the line to Jesus.
