Simeon son of Jacob and Leah is born after Reuben, and Leah names him in response to Yahweh hearing her Genesis 29:33.
Genesis links Simeon with Levi in the violence at Shechem, and Jacob's final words rebuke their anger and speak of scattering in Israel Genesis 34:25-31 Genesis 49:5-7.
Simeon is not in the line to Jesus.
