Biography
Jehoahaz son of Josiah was made king by the people of the land after Josiah died . He was 23 when he became king and reigned 3 months in Jerusalem .
His mother was Hamutal daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah, and he did evil in Yahweh's sight according to all his fathers had done . Pharaoh Neco put him in bonds at Riblah, imposed tribute on the land, and carried him to Egypt, where he died .
Neco made Eliakim son of Josiah king in his place and changed his name to Jehoiakim . Chronicles also names Jehoahaz as the son of Josiah whom the people made king in Jerusalem .
