Biography
Pekahiah son of Menahem became king over Israel in Samaria in the 50th year of Azariah king of Judah and reigned 2 years . He did evil in Yahweh's sight and did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam I .
Pekah son of Remaliah, his captain, conspired against him and struck him down in Samaria, in the citadel of the king's house, with Argob and Arieh . Fifty men of the Gileadites were with Pekah, and he killed Pekahiah and reigned in his place .
