Jeroboam II

Jeroboam II son of Jehoash became king over Israel in Samaria in the 15th year of Amaziah king of Judah and reigned 41 years 2 Kings 14:23. He did evil in Yahweh's sight and did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam I 2 Kings 14:24.

Jeroboam II restored Israel's border from Lebo hamath to the Sea of the Arabah, according to Yahweh's word through Jonah son of Amittai 2 Kings 14:25. Yahweh saw Israel's bitter affliction, saw that there was no helper for Israel, and saved them by the hand of Jeroboam because he had not said he would blot out Israel's name from under heaven 2 Kings 14:26-27.

Jeroboam II died, was buried with the kings of Israel, and was succeeded by Zechariah his son 2 Kings 14:28-29.
