Zechariah

Zechariah son of Jeroboam II became king over Israel in Samaria in the 38th year of Azariah king of Judah and reigned 6 months 2 Kings 15:8. He did evil in Yahweh's sight as his fathers had done and did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam I 2 Kings 15:9.

Shallum son of Jabesh conspired against him, struck him down before the people, killed him, and reigned in his place 2 Kings 15:10. His death completed Yahweh's word to Jehu that his sons would sit on Israel's throne to the 4th generation 2 Kings 15:11-12.
