Biography
Zechariah son of Jeroboam II became king over Israel in Samaria in the 38th year of Azariah king of Judah and reigned 6 months . He did evil in Yahweh's sight as his fathers had done and did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam I .
Shallum son of Jabesh conspired against him, struck him down before the people, killed him, and reigned in his place . His death completed Yahweh's word to Jehu that his sons would sit on Israel's throne to the 4th generation .
